| Here's my non-scientific, short-term results from adding toluene to my gas tank. I got the idea from a post here the other day with the same link. I poured a gallon of toluene in the tank, then I filled the rest with some of my usual Sunoco 94 octane. I'm basically looking for an excuse to rebuild my engine anywho, so whatever risk was involved seemed worth taking, lol at myself. Engine didn't blow up. Butt dyno indicates an improvement. Car did a couple of things it never did before, like break loose in second gear on dry asphalt under smooth, sub-maximal acceleration. Engine sounded smoother, had more of that "Singer Sewing Machine" feel. Idles smoother, too. Local mega-hardware store Lowe's didn't have any ("tawl-you-what?") of the stuff, so I stumbled acrost a mom and pop hardware store and picked up a gallon for over seven bucks. I'm sure I will be able to do better on the price. What I like about the properties of the liquid itself is that after I spilled it all over my hands, a minute later they were dry and there was no odor. Same with the puddle I left on the ground (my funnel wasn't big enough). Disappeared within a minute or so. Not sure what that means but seemed good to me.
